Rosa Toussaint-Ortiz

Rosa was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Puerto Rico. In 1978, she entered the U.S. Army and served as an enlisted and officer.

Rosa Toussaint-Ortiz is an assistant/community pastor at the Restoration International Ministry (MRI) church in Huntsville, Alabama. Its pastors are Carlos and Lilly Aybar.

She is an entrepreneur and veteran of the United States Army. She has written two books, Detrás de Mi Sonrisa, es tu tiempo de avance and Black Hispanic Woman, My assigment in Huntsville, Alabama.

Founder of the Huntsville International Help Center and Ortiz Consulting and Educational Services. She is known for her commitment to serving and supporting immigrants.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Mental Health from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from Virginia College.

She has received certifications and diplomas from Light University/AACC among those Ellos; Suicide Prevention, Caring for People Gods Way, Master Mental Health Coach, Biblical Counseling, Military and First Responder Mental Health Coaching, Youth Mental Health Coaching, Professional Life Coaching, Recovery Alive Coaching, Psychological Trauma First Aid.

Rosa is very grateful to God for giving her the opportunity to serve as a missionary in Higuey Dominican Republic. for over two years with the MRI HABLE Foundation (Huntsville, Alabama Blessing Hispaniola) An international ministry of the church Restoration Ministry International, Pastors Carlos and Lilly Aybar.

She continues to serve with the MRI HABLE Foundation in collaboration with the Villa Esperanza Help Center serving children and their families.

Rosa has over twenty years of experience as a communicator, God Will Provide on WDJL 1000 for over five years, she preached on Radio Cherub in Huntsville and Radio Alabanza in Decatur. Since 2017 she has been sharing God's word weekly on Facebook live, MRI Radio TV. Your life is worth believing God.

Her service in the community has become a recognized public voice on Hispanic immigrant and human rights issues in Alabama, with interviews and coverage in regional, national, and international media.

Rosa’s work has been covered by The Huntsville Times, Alabama Public Television/PBS News Hour, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, local Alabama television stations, WEUP Radio, Radio Bilingüe Línea Abierta, The Guardian, Univision, and Le Monde.

For more than two decades, Rosa has provided volunteer leadership through civic, faith-based, business, and immigrant advocacy organizations, including the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, HIBANA Latino Entrepreneurs, the Hispanic-Latino/Latino Advisory Council, the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice, and the Alabama Hispanic Association.

Guided by the conviction to "serve God and leave barriers behind," Rosa's life and work reflect a sustained mission to strengthen disadvantaged communities, elevate Hispanic voices, and serve people with spiritual, emotional, civic, and practical needs.

Something very important for Rosa is to leave a good legacy.
